CakeLove Quick Job Descriptions
CSR (customer service representative) –take orders and provide general assistance to customers over the phone and in-store; ring all transactions on cash register; must be adept at cash handling.
MOD (manager on duty) — Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the bakery while on shift, including finance, facilities, scheduling, staffing and customer service.Additionally, MODs assume responsibility for various projects as designated by management.
Assembly – assemble and decorate cakes for customer orders, display case, as well as the Love Café (to be sold by the slice).
Filler/Topper – fill éclairs & Buzz Balls with pastry cream or curd; top cupcakes with buttercream; wrap and/or box small baked goods, such as brownies and cookies.
Baker – make all products for CakeLove and Love Café, including cakes, pound cakes, cheesecakes, pate a choux, buttercreams, pastry creams and curds; manage stock of ingredients and place daily orders with vendors; compose daily bake list.
Baker Assistant – assist baker(s) with all of the tasks listed above.
Prep Assistant – assist baker(s) by preparing pre-portioned batches of ingredients/recipe components. Prep is done in the afternoon/evening, in preparation for baking the following day.
Utility – wash, dry & put away all dishes throughout the day; take out trash, recycling; de-pan, wrap and store all baked goods; perform complete end-of-day store cleanup.
